Poverty, inequality and waste.
Leila Papoli-Yazdi and Omran Garazhian conducted a garbological project in Tehran which aimed to determine the impacts of rising inflation and poverty on garbage-making habits of poor communities. The project was successful in anticipating the uprising the happened in the coming years in the studied districts. Meanwhile, we could find the garbage-making behaviour of subaltern and poor people, those who are usually absent from the sight of more powerful and privileged people.
