Stadsmission Second Hand in Kalmar

Rethinking Waste for a Greener Lifestyle.

According to Green Match, Kalmar and Gotland are ranked second in Sweden regarding food waste. To find a way to reduce the amount of waste in kitchens, Garbonomix collaborates with Stadsmissions Second Hand at Kalmar. In this project, Garbonomix investigates the food waste of Stadsmission’s kitchen on daily basis with the objective of introducing basic criteria for other kitchens in order to improve their waste management and reduce food waste.


Garbonomix hopes that the results of this project enhance both environmental and economic sustainability at the regional level.
